Children and Youth Associations
Bambiriáda is unbeatably the biggest opportunity for Children & Youth Associations and Leisure Time Centers in the Czech Republic to introduce their activities. It was organized by the Czech Council of Children and Youth at the end of May already twelve times. In this year more than hundred of Children and Youth Associations and Children and Youth Centers and similar initiatives in at least thirteen towns can show to more than 200,000 visitors - children, young people, parents, politicians and the wide society in all regions - how they contribute to the joy, personal growth and meaningful use of leisure time of children and young people. Over the twelve years the event has gained a high recognition. A number of public administration institutions are involved in its organization and the media shows an increasing interest for it.Bambiriáda in 2010
The twelfth year of Bambiriáda will turn into “the tourist information center“where all the visitors will learn how to get to the nearest youth center.The visitors will be guided by exhibitors from different organizations and youth initiatives. Together they will create the entrance reception and welcome every participant. The visitors will also be provided with the information about activities that interest them. The exhibitors will help them to find the youth clubs near their homes or schools through database of free time activities in the Czech Republic. In the same time, the visitors will receive maps according to their region and there they can find list of local youth clubs or unit.
The main theme for 2010 is „Bambiriáda 2010 – Your guide through free time activities“

Bambiriáda Going International
It has already been a few years since Bambiriáda does not take place only in the Czech Republic: it was already held also in Slovakia and Poland. Some Czech towns organize Bambiriáda meetings with young people and volunteers who are involved in after-school activities and who come from partner towns from abroad.In the frame of Bambiriáda the charity gathering for the improvement of educational conditions in Kosovo will continue. This time the Grammar school in Podujevo is a beneficiary of the action including the same partners from 2009.
